Lady One Question - instantly famous
Banzai posits and answers two questions: what are the stupidest things we can see on network television and how offensive to Asians can we make it? Respectively, the answers are: very stupid and very offensive. But I have two additional caveats: it's very entertaining and very, very funny.

Banzai (or Banzai!, rather) is one of the first television shows I've seen that actually encourages betting and gambling. An idea or experiment is proposed to the audience, let's say, how many balloons does it take to make a chicken fly in the air? After giving you several multiple choices, you pick one and the experiment begins. Other betting opportunities include guessing how fast a little person can climb up a basketball player and which of three geishas is wearing the red panties after shuffling in the shell game style.

Each segment is accompanied by images and music of gaudy Japanese stereotypes yelling and pronouncing words in heavily accented English. I think they're trying to emulate a Japanese game show. I'm not really sure, though. It's a weird mix of Japanese, European and American locales. It confuses this confuing show even more, but really, does it matter that much?

Banzai! is a show meant to be a drinking game - a network first. It's stupid show but still not as stupid as For Love or Money and Mr. Personality (what ever happened with that thing, by the way?)
